Commercial banks report credit relationship situation for SMEs

Commercial banks report credit relationship situation for SMEs State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) requires commercial banks to have an overall evaluation on lending activities with small and medium enterprises from 2011 to 30/09/2013.

Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued the Official Dispatch No. 7313/NHNN-TD on reporting credit relationship situation for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) on October 4 2013.

According to this document, implementing tasks assigned under Decision No 1231/QĐ-TTg dated 07/09/2012 by Prime Minister on Plan of developing SMEs for the term of 2011-2015, Governor of SBV required SBV’s branches in provinces and cities, commercial banks and branches of foreign banks in Vietnam to report the credit relationship situation for SMEs.

Specifically, commercial banks make the report on the credit relationship situation for SMEs to send to the SBV (Credit Department) latest on October 20 2013. Contents include the report date on lending activity for SMEs and general assessment of lending real situation for SMEs from 2011 to 30/09/2013.

SBV’s branches in the province and cities make the general report of the operation situation of SMEs in localities, the credit relationship of SMEs to credit organizations, difficulties and obstacles of this type, difficulties and obstacles when credit organizations access loans to SMEs, suggested mechanism and solutions to expand the credit relationship for SMEs. The report must be sent to the SBV Credit Department) latest on 20/10/ 2013.

In addition, two times a year from 2014 to 2015, SBV’s branches in provinces and cities and credit institutions must send the report on the credit relationship situation for SMEs (update data until June 30 and November 15 each year) to the SBV (the Credit Department) latest on July 15 and November 25.
