On August 26th 2013, PCB and Vietcombank organized a training course on credit information product utilization at Vietcombank Tower, 198 Tran Quang Khai, Hanoi. Participants included department leaders and staffs of Vietcombank head quarter, head transaction office, Hanoi branch and Thanh Cong branch.

At the beginning, Mr. Nguyen Duc Ngoc – CEO of PCB gave a welcome speech and explained the importance of a private credit bureau in Vietnamese market. The training course went over several topics including basic concept of PCB, overview of credit bureau in Vietnam, PCB system and user guide of credit report inquiry, etc.  Throughout the training day, staffs of VCB shared their experiences with credit reports in Vietnam and contributed suggestions for credit information product development. PCB will provide system access to Vietcombank’s staffs to inquire credit reports. After the training course with Vietcombank, PCB will continue to organize training courses with other banks in PCB system.

This is the first official training course offered by PCB to member banks, an important milestone of the PCB project. The first credit bureau in Vietnam is now ready to provide credit information products to the Vietnamese market.
